ActivMedical is Denton County's first durable medical equipment leader. Our president James Garner, a pharmacist by profession, bought Denton Prescription Shop in 1982. At that time he saw a need for home medical equipment and home oxygen in Denton County. As Denton County grew, so did the demand for medical equipment. In 1995, Denton Prescription Shop was split into two parts: A pharmacy at a seperate location and ActivMedical on Univeristy Drive, our current location.
With the split, our ability to meet Denton County and their medical equipment needs expanded. We offer so much more than walkers and wheelchairs. We carry a full line of medical equipment - just about anything you could think of!
